With a little pre-planning and coordination we were able to get the whole family together for our first family photoshoot in I can't remember how long! With Nicole living in Colorado, me living in Virginia, and everyone else with hectic work/school schedules just getting everyone together for a single hour was quite an accomplishment!
I think the last time we had professional photographs taken as a family was when Dylan was a toddler. As you can see he now towers over me at least a good six inches (yeah ok, maybe more!) So this was really cool and even though it was freezing and we only had about an hour before life would take over again, we all had a great time and got some great new family photos. (Also, I'm secretly relieved I can finally replace that hideous high school senior portrait on my parent's fireplace! haha)
One more thing. You might be wondering how I took the photos but am also in the photos...hmmm. Well, it couldn't have been done without the help of my handy tripod, Mr. Gitzo. True, but in all seriousness this would have been a heck of a lot more difficult if it wasn't for Nicole's fiance, Barclay who was kind enough to push the remote shutter and really make this happen. Thanks for helping out Barclay and I believe I still owe you a coffee!
And we couldn't resist throwing the leaves!
Of course no family photoshoot is complete without a good old fashioned photo bomb! This series cracks me up every time!
Just a few outtakes...
And the two lovebirds will finish up this blog post! Thanks again to Barclay for helping with the pics!
